Pet of the Week: Elwood!
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)- Meet Elwood! This sweet and handsome guy is looking for his ‘furever’ home through Columbia Animal Services.
Elwood was found as a stray and has been at the shelter since September. Unfortunately, he is now listed as ‘at risk’ of euthansia, and would be so thankful to have a nice couch to cuddle with you this Thanksgiving!
Shelter staff say Elwood is estimated to be about 3 to 5 years old. He’s very well-mannered, treat-motivated, great with other dogs and kids, rides well in the car, and walks great on the leash! The shelter environment has made Elwood a little sad and timid, but once outside and comfortable in new surroundings, he warms up quickly and loves to play!
Now through November 22nd, adopters can take advantage of Columbia Animal Services ‘Thankful for you’ adoption special. All adoptions are just $23 and include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, and flea/heartworm preventative.
If you’re not yet ready to adopt, the shelter also has several volunteer opportunities, and are currently hosting the Carolina Clemson donation drive as well.
