Update: Homeless man found after report of an intruder at Midway Elementary School

Kershaw Co., SC (WOLO) — The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office say they have located a homeless man in the case of a possible intruder seen at the Midway Elementary School Wednesday.
According to deputies, around 3:15pm, they were alerted that there was a man wearing camouflage clothes and carrying a gun while standing behind school buses. Deputies say the call that came into dispatch went on to say the person disappeared into the woods.
Authorities say the several Kershaw deputies along with the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) responded to the school within minutes of the call. A short time later Kershaw had K-9 officers on scene and their drone team on the scene tracking the area and deputies interviewed witnesses.
Investigators say the homeless man was not armed and no crime was committed. He was advised not to return to the elementary school.
