Venmo’s newest feature helps users settle group expenses

CNN– Anyone who has ever dined out with friends knows the math skills needed to Divvy up the bill at the end of the night.

Venmo is trying to help.

The money transfer app is rolling out a new feature called ‘Venmo Group’.

The new feature gives users the ability to track and split ongoing expenses.

Once members are added to a group, the app will automatically calculate the split costs for individuals.

A group can have up to 30 members so it works for small groups like a family and larger groups like a sports team.

Venmo began to roll out the new feature to select users on Tuesday.

The company says groups will become widely available in the coming weeks.
