District: Law enforcement investigating after student stabbed at Columbia High School

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County School District One officials say a student was stabbed allegedly by another student at a district school.

The district says the incident happened at Columbia High School in the afternoon on Friday, Nov.17.

According to the District, law enforcement has a person in custody and there is no immediate threat to students and staff.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital by EMS to be treated for injuries, say district officials.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department says the investigation is ongoing.
