UPDATE: Columbia HS student charged with Attempted Murder
Richland Co., SC (WOLO) — We have an update to a story we brought you on ABC Columbia News at 5PM . A student at Columbia High is in custody tonight in connection with a stabbing authorities say took place Friday afternoon.
Authorities are charging 17-year-old Omari Fortenberry as an adult for Attempted Murder. The Richland County Sheriff’s Department says the knife used in the stabbing was located at Columbia High and secured. The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for their injuries. In the meantime, Fortenberry is currently being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
