CPD officers take part in second annual Serving Up Thanks Initiative
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The Columbia Police Department partnered with Serve & Connect to give out meals to residents.
Over 60 volunteers along with Cooperative Health helped them package and deliver 300 hot meals on Thanksgiving Day.
The event was held for the second year in a row as part of the North Columbia Youth Empowerment Initiative.
The youth empowerment initiative was established in collaboration with the Columbia Police Department, Richland County Sheriff’s Office, Serve & Connect, and community leaders to create police and community partnerships that empower the lives of children and youth in the 29203 area.
