Cayce police search for car believed to be connected to drive-by shooting, 17-year-old injured

CAYCE, S.C. (WOLO)– The Cayce Police Department is searching for a vehicle they believe is connected to a recent drive-by shooting where a 17-year-old was injured.

Investigators say they responded to a report of a drive-by shooting where one person was confirmed to be hit by one of the bullets on Saturday, November 25 2023.

A witness at the scene told officers a group of friends were hanging out in front of a house when a car drove by and began shooting at them.

Officers said EMS was called to the scene and EMS found that a bullet was in the teen’s arm before taking the teen to the hospital.

The shooting is not believed to be a random act, say officers.

CPD is looking for a dark blue, 4-door Honda Accord, late 1990s – early 2000s model.
