Columbia Police: Pizza delivery driver shot, killed
Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia police are investigating after they say a pizza delivery driver was shot and killed Wednesday night.
According to investigators, police responded to Tamarind Apartments on Stoneridge Dr. around 11pm and found the 48 year old driver unresponsive.
EMS pronounced him dead at the scene.

Pizza Delivery Safety Tips:
- Be aware of your surroundings / Stay Alert
- Avoid carrying large amounts of cash
- Park your vehicle close to the delivery location
- Do not leave your delivery vehicle running & unattended
- Ask your employer to contact the customer if:
- …the delivery location is very dark at night with limited fixed lighting
- …you feel uncomfortable
- …the delivery location looks vacant or abandoned, have your employee contact the customer
