Funeral arrangements announced for 6-year-old who died in Orangeburg County hunting accident

Avery Davis died after a hunting accident in Orangeburg County.

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The funeral arrangements for the 6-year-old who died in a hunting accident in Orangeburg County have been announced.

Duke Harley Funeral Home says Avery Davis’s service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec.2 at the Calhoun Academy Gymnasium where he attended school as a first grader.

A burial will follow at the Davis Cemetery.

Avery was out hunting when he was accidentally shot by a stray shotgun pellet on Friday morning.

The Orangeburg County coroner says Avery Davis died Saturday, Nov.26 at Prisma Health Richland.
