Multiple Midlands counties rattled by 2.4 magnitude earthquake

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The U.S. Geological Survey has confirmed an earthquake felt through several counties in South Carolina.

The areas where the earthquake was felt:

  • Jenkinsville
  • Newberry
  • Irmo
  • Seven Oaks
  • Columbia

According to U.S. Geological Survey officials, the 2.4 magnitude earthquake was detected on Nov. 30 around 6:24 a.m.

There was a report of a previous earthquake felt in Jenkinsville on Wednesday morning.
