Section of Rice Meadow Way in Richland County to close temporarily

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– On the morning of Dec.5 the east entrance to Rice Meadow Way from Hard Scrabble Road (S-83) will be temporarily closed for construction, says SCDOT.

The South Carolina Department of Transportation says drivers traveling south on Hard Scrabble Road may continue toward Lee Road, turn right, and continue west toward Rice Creek Farms Road.

Then drivers may turn right, and arrive at the west entrance of Rice Meadow Way, say SCDOT.

Also, drivers in the area are asked to slow down, use caution, and follow signage.

The construction is a part of the Hard Scrabble Road widening project and will include drain installation and paving.

SCDOT expects the closure to last through the week.
