Columbia Water customers may experience water service disruption
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– City of Columbia Water customers served by the Columbia Canal Water Treatment plant may experience low-pressure or water service disruption starting on Tuesday, Dec. 5, according to the water company.
The possible water service disruption will be due to repairs to a 42-inch diameter water main adjacent to the Columbia Canal Water Treatment Plant beginning at 2 a.m.
SCDOT says they anticipate service returning to normal within 24 hours.
Columbia Water will temporarily isolate the section of the 42-inch water main near its Canal Water Treatment Plant in order to make repairs on the line, say officials.
The area experiencing the interruption of service will be in the vicinity of the Columbia Canal Water Treatment Plant located at 300 Laurel Street.
Anyone with questions about the advisory should contact the City of Columbia Customer Care Center at 803-545-3300.
