DHEC urges residents to get updated vaccinations

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– It is National Influenza Vaccination Week now until Dec.8.

State health officials are urging South Carolinians who have not yet gotten their flu shots to do so ahead of holiday gatherings.

They have seen widespread flu activity across the state with an increase in both cases and hospitalizations.

Also, there have been four flu-related deaths this season.
