Pet of the Week: Samson!
KERSHAW CO., SC (WOLO)- Meet Samson! This sweet guy is hoping to come home with you for the holidays and ‘furever!’
Samson is one of the Kershaw County Humane Society’s longest residents, waiting patiently in his kennel since March, at no fault of his own! Shelter staff say he was originally found as a stray. Samson is a Retriever-mix, about 3 years old, very sweet and well-mannered, already knows basic commands like sit, and gets along great with other dogs, but prefers female dogs over males. Samson also gets along great with kids!
As we approach the holidays, shelter staff wants to ensure pets find their forever homes, and are not just brought home as Christmas gifts. “People take a lot of interest in puppies for their kids around the holidays, and do tend to bring them back around New Year. So we’re just trying to make sure we go over people’s applications to make sure it’s a good fit, and the right home and environment,” says Tamarin Stump with the Kershaw County Humane Society.
