United Way of the Midlands gives back to schools in the Midlands
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The United Way of the Midlands’ Resilient Midlands program hosted its annual Resiliency Kit Packing Party.
The organization says the kits will be given to 19 schools in 6 counties.
The items in the kits include undergarments, uniform pants and shirts, winter coats, gloves, hats, hygiene products, and more for the schools’ closets.
All of the schools receiving the kits are a part of United Way’s Midlands Reading Consortium.
Organization officials say the kits were made possible by donations from the Nord Family Foundation, Carolina Panthers, QuikTrip and Healthy Blue.
