COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– More than 25OO children in the Midlands will be waking up to Christmas gifts this year due to the Angel Tree Program.
Through the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program community members came together to fulfill children’s wish lists.
Inside the organization’s Christmas Warehouse, it is stuffed with toys and items to help out children in need.
Major Mark Craddock says hundreds of volunteers dedicate their time to preparing the gifts for distribution.
The Columbia College softball team joined in the efforts and lent a helping hand in packing gift bags for the children on Tuesday.
The last day to donate gifts to the Angel Tree Program is Saturday at noon.
