Driver dead after hitting tree during Lexington County collision

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A driver was pronounced dead after an early morning collision on US-178, said state troopers.

Master Trooper Brandon J. Bolt said the collision happened on Sunday, Dec. 10, around 12:30 a.m.

A 2009 Cheverolet Sedan was traveling East on US-178 and went off the right side of the road and hit a tree, said Master Trooper Bolt.

The collision is under investigating by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
