Pet of the Week: Skye!
COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)- Meet Skye! This sweet 7 month old puppy is looking for her ‘furever’ home through Columbia Animal Services.
She was brought in to the shelter as a stray with her mom and 5 of her siblings. They all have been adopted, and now Skye is hoping for her happy ending too!
Skye recently attended an adoption event with Columbia Animal Services at River Rat Brewery, where she did amazing! She then got some extended time away from the shelter for a couple nights through the shelter’s Slumber Buddies program. There, Skye did wonderful sleeping in her crate through the night, had no accidents in the house, walks well on the leash, is great with other dogs, loves toys, and loves to snuggle and be around her people. Skye also already knows how to sit, is very treat-motivated, smart, and eager to learn and please!
Now through December 31st, the shelter is holding their Home for the Holiday’s adoption special. All dogs, including Skye’s, adoption fee is just $25 in an effort to get more pets in their forever homes and help clear the shelter! All cats this month are free as well! Adoptions include vaccinations, heartworm/flea/tick prevention, microchip, and a spay/neuter surgery.
