Coroner releases the name of victim who died after multi-vehicle I-20 collision
LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Lexington County Coroner’s Office is releasing the name of the person who died after a multi-vehicle collision on Wednesday, said the coroner’s office.
The collision happened near the 44-mile marker of I-20 in the Gilbert area of Lexington County around 2:15 p.m. on Dec. 13.
Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher says Donna Linette Brooks, 66, of West Columbia was traveling westbound on I-20 when the vehicle she was driving hit the rear of a truck.
Brooks was taken to a hospital in the area where she was later pronounced dead due to the injuries she received in the collision.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Lexington County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate the collision.
