Lexington father, son accused of murder makes court appearance

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A father and son accused in a recent murder made their first appearance in a Lexington County courtroom this afternoon.

According to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, 52-year-old Ryan Lindner Sr., told his son 26-year-old Ryan Lindner Jr., to shoot the victim identified by the county coroner as Kevin Newhouse after grabbing a machete from him.

Deputies say the incident followed a confrontation over trespassing.
