Thousands of USC graduates celebrate fall commencement

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO) — It was a special day for thousands of University of South Carolina students.

The largest university in the state awarded more than 3,000 degrees to fall graduates this afternoon at Colonial Life Arena.

Of the graduates, 2,000 attended the main campus in Columbia but seven other branches of the university were also present.

The graduates included students from associate’s, bachelor’s…, master’s and professional degree programs.

USC president Michael Amiridis addressed the students before they were awarded their diplomas.

After the ceremony, the recent graduates celebrated their accomplishments with friends… family and other USC grads at the Pastides Alumni center.
