Early voting period open for State Senate 19 Special Election

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Early voting is underway for next month’s State Senate District 19 Special Election.

Candidates Tameika Isaac Devine, Lizzie Smalls, Chris Nell’s and Michael Addison are running to fill the vacant seat after Senator John Scott died in August.

The early voting period is open through Friday Dec. 29.

You can vote at Richland County’s early voting center or at the voter registration and elections building from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.

Both are on Hampton Street and you must bring a photo I-D.

They’ll be closed from Friday to Tuesday for the holidays.

The special election starts on January 2.
