Irmo High football coach recognized as the Carolina Panthers High School Football Coach of the Week

Irmo High School Coach Aaron Brand was recognized as the Carolina Panthers High School Football Coach of the Week.
IRMO, S.C. (WOLO)– A School District Five football coach has been recognized as the Carolina Panthers High School Football Coach of the Week.
The recoginition is part of the Panthers’ High School Football Coach of the Week program presented by GMC.
“On behalf of myself and the Irmo football community, I accept this award with great humility knowing that none of this would be possible without the outstanding coaching staff that we have and our player’s unbelievable desire to work their tails off daily. I am honored to be recognized for this outstanding opportunity,” Irmo High School Coach Aaron Brand said.
Brand has been the head football coach at Irmo High School since 2019.
Coaches from North Carolina and South Carolina were selected weekly based on individual milestone accomplishments and significant wins during the regular season selection window.
Officials say the award also recognizes the outstanding contributions made by high school football coaches in the lives of their players, their communities and the development of football at the grassroots level.
Each recipient’s school will receive a $1000 grant to support their school’s athletic department.
This year’s class for the High School Coach of the Week presented by GMC was recognized during an on-field presentation during the Panthers home game against the Atlanta Falcons at Bank of America Stadium on Sunday, Dec. 17.
“The Carolina Panthers and GMC are proud to recognize some of the region’s most outstanding high school football coaches who give tirelessly to their teams, schools and communities. The impact made by these coaches goes well beyond the playing field,” said Riley Fields, Carolina Panthers Director of Community Relations.
