2.2 magnitude earthquake confirmed in the Midlands
KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported an earthquake in the Midland early Friday morning.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the 2.2 magnitude earthquake was about 3.5 miles east-southeast of Elgin in Kershaw County.
The South Carolina Emergency Management Division said the quake happened around 3:16 a.m.
