Locations to recycle your Christmas trees

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– One Midlands holiday tradition is coming to an end this year.

A spokesperson for Keep the Midlands Beautiful says the organization will not host its annual Grinding of the Greens program where they would grind Christmas trees into mulch.

Instead the organization recommends you reach out to your county’s solid waste division for more information on how you can recycle your Christmas tree.

There are multiple locations in Richland County and Lexington County where you can take your Christmas tree to be recycled.
