Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center inmate to be charged with arson following cell fire

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A detainee at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center is charged with arson after setting his mattress on fire.

A spokesperson for the county says just before seven Wednesday night Quaran Loadholt started a fire in his cell.

No one was hurt and there was no structural damage.

A detention center sergeant was able to put the fire out with a fire extinguisher.
