Sumter police seeking the public’s help finding 15-year-old

The Sumter Police Department is asking for the public’s help finding a missing teen last seen on Saturday, said the SPD.

SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO)– The Sumter Police Department is asking for the public’s help finding a missing teen last seen on Saturday, said the SPD.

Officers say the 15-year-old is a repeat runaway who was last seen at her Virginia Drive home on Saturday, December 30, 2023, around 9:30 p.m.

Hannah Ammons is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 175 lbs.

She was last seen wearing ripped jeans and a light blue shirt, said officers.

Also, officers said she took gray Crocs and black and white Nikes went she left.

Sumter police said Ammons is a former Walterboro resident and is believed to be with an adult female friend from the area.

Anyone with information on the location of Ammons is asked to call the Sumter Police Department, 803-436-2700, or the nearest law enforcement agency.
