Pet of the Week: Sarah Mae!
KERSHAW CO., SC (WOLO): Meet Sarah Mae! This sweet 4-year-old Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog mix is looking for her ‘furever’ home through the Kershaw County Humane Society.
Shelter staff say Sarah Mae was surrendered to the shelter by a military family who couldn’t bring her along in a move. She’s been waiting patiently for her new forever family since October!
Sarah Mae is a sweet, gentle girl who would benefit in a calm home with older kids, and/or other dogs to help her decompress from the shelter. Sarah Mae has been kenneled with both big and small dogs, and both male and female dogs, and did great, but does seem to prefer males. She has not yet been cat tested, but the shelter can do a cat test pending an adoption!
Because she had a previous home, officials say Sarah Mae is likely already house trained, and could settle into a new home nicely.
