Local Living: Head to South Carolina State Museum for first Sunday

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– In today’s look at Local Living, several places will honor Martin Luther King Jr. this month.

Chappelle Memorial AMC Church is hosting their MLK Day celebration on Monday, January 15 at 9:30 a.m.

Representative Annie McDaniel will be the speaker.

You can also buy tickets for the upcoming MLK Freedom Fest event.

It starts at 8 p.m. on Saturday, January 13 at the Colonial Life Arena.

Anyone can enjoy a jam packed concert featuring artists like Neyo, Faith Evans, Joe, Plies and 112.

Ticket’s are on sale on Ticketmaster’s website.

Head to the South Carolina State Museum to celebrate the first Sunday of the year.

General admission is only one $1 for guests on the first Sunday of every month.

You and your family can enjoy four floors of South Carolina art, cultural history, natural history and science/technology.

It’s open from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
