More than 700 NC, SC children expected to be diagnosed with cancer

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– More than 700 children in North and South Carolina are expected to be diagnosed with cancer this year, according to the Children’s Caner Partners of the Carolinas.

The most common types of cancer in children ages 0 to 14 are Leukemia, brain and central nervous system tumors, Neuroblastoma and Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.

There are ten hospitals in North and South Carolina that treat childhood cancer.
