World’s largest cruise ship docks at port in Florida

(CNN)– A historic moment in the world of cruising happened on Wednesday, the world’s largest cruise ship made a entrance at its new home at Florida’s Miami Port.

Royal Caribbean’s icon of the Seas boasted an impressive 20 decks, seven pools, nine whirlpools and six water slides.

The colossal vessel is more than 1000ft long and can hold close to 8000 passengers, along with 12 crew members.

The two billion dollar vessel is the first in Royal Caribbean’s new icon class.

Icon’s seven night voyages will explore the eastern and western Caribbean.

The inaugural cruise is set for Jan. 27.

Prices for a single person start at $17 hundred.
