Panera Bread announces a special during “National Soup Month”

(CNN)– January is “National Soup Month” and Panera Bread is offering a cup of soup for $1 along an entree.

This order has to be placed on the company’s app with the code: “soup”,

In addition to this “souped up” special Panera also announced two new menu additions, the bacon avocado melt and the southwest chicken melt.

Panera Bread made its debut in 1987 as a local bakery.

As of July of last year there are nearly 22 hundred franchises in 48 states under the Panera brand.
