Human remains found in Richland County

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– According to the Richland County Coroner’s Office human remains were found in Richland County on Friday.

Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford says the identification of the remains are unknown but they are still searching for the complete remains.

“We have worked over the weekend in collaboration with law enforcement crime scene units to investigate the possible identity of these remains. We will be releasing more information as we may need the public’s assistance in this investigation,” Coroner Rutherford states.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Office says the remains were found in the 1200 block of Highway Church Road on Jan 12.
