Dominion Energy offers tips to manage energy bills as temperatures drop

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— With temperatures dropping, Dominion Energy is giving tips to help customers manage their energy usage and bills this winter.

Dominion Energy spokesperson Selena Ortiz recommends swapping out your air filters regularly because the clogged filter can make your heating system work even harder.

Next, prep your home by ceiling cracks and doors and windows with weather stripping, which will keep the warmth in and the cold out.

But the greatest tip starts with the thermostat.

Ortiz recommends that customers set it at 68 degrees.

To view your monthly usage go online or use the Dominion Energy app.
