COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – Columbia Police Department investigators have charged two teens in connection with the fatal shooting of a pizza delivery driver that happened on November 29, 2023.
According to police, 18-year-old Trevor Harris and a 17-year-old male relative are facing charges of Murder, Attempted Armed Robbery, Criminal Conspiracy and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime. The two teenage boys were located at a West Columbia home this week by members of the United States Marshals Service’s Carolinas Regional Task Force, which includes CPD.
The suspects are currently jailed at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
Investigators say the teens are accused of conspiring to attempt an armed robbery of the 48-year-old male victim after ordering a pizza to a vacant home at the Tamarind Apartments located at 143 Stoneridge Drive. When the victim, identified by the Richland County Coroner as Christopher Shirah arrived at the delivery location, the suspects tried to rob him before fatally shooting him and leaving the scene.
