City of Columbia raising awareness about heart disease with Go Red Columbia

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The City of Columbia is hosting a press conference and community photo session to raise awareness about heart disease.

City officials say the event will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024, at 12 p.m. at city hall on the third floor chambers.

Everyone who attends is asked to wear red to raise awareness about heart disease in the community and spread the word about National Wear Red Day.

There will be free health screenings from 12 p.m. until 3 p.m. provided by Eau Claire Cooperative Health, say city officials.
