Apple releases new iPhone security update
(CNN)– Apple is working to protect personal data stored on your iPhone.
The company announced a major security update that is now available for download.
‘Stolen protection” adds an extra layer of security by creating additional steps to access information.
You’ll be asked to use face or fingerprint scanning to access data or make changes.
And for more sensitive actions like changing an Apple ID password or turning off the stolen device protection itself, you’ll have to scan your face or fingerprint.
Then wait through an hour-long security delay and rescan your face or fingerprint.
You must have two-factor authentication and “Find My” enabled to use the feature.
