CPD investigating following Columbia shooting

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The Columbia Police Department is investigating after a shooting on Tuesday night sent one person to the hospital, said officers.
Police said the shooting happened on Chestnut Street around 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 23.
CPD was made aware of the shooting through a Shotspotter alert and from the 911 dispatch.
A male victim was sent to the hospital.
Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact Crimestoppers.
