Local Living: Modern Companion host puppy playdate

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– In today’s look at Local Living, all month long the Columbia Animal Shelter is offering adoptions for just $1.

If you are interested in bringing home a furry friend just go by the shelter on Humane Lane.

It’s open from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturdays.

The Lexington County Animal Services is also hosting an adoption event.

All adoption fees are waived through Saturday Feb.3.

The shelter is located on Ballpark Road in Lexington and open on Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Modern Companion is hosting a puppy playdate on Sunday at their shop in Chapin.

You’ll have the chance to interact with other puppy owners, exchange tips and stories while your dogs learn important social skills, interact and play.

The event is for puppies under 10 months of age.

Registration is required.
