Sc native nominated for Oscar
(WPDE)– This year’s Academy Awards have a South Carolina connection.
Danielle Brooks who grew up in Simpsonville was nominated for a best supporting actress Oscar for her part in “The Color Purple”.
Other actresses in the category include Emily Blunt and Jodie Foster.
The Oscar winners will be announced on March 10 on ABC Columbia at 7 p.m.
