Multiple railroad crossings across the Midlands closing for maintenance
LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Multiple railroad crossings across the Midlands will be closed for maintenance and repairs starting on Monday, Jan. 29.
According to a press release from the County of Lexington, CSX Transportation teams will be doing routine maintenance and repairs on railroad crossings in Richland County.
This means the crews will be working their way northwest through Lexington County and into Newberry County.
Officials expect maintenance to be finished by March 8.
CSX says residents can expect the closure to last at least three to five days.
The company also says railroad crossings that are one-way in or out with residents behind them, CSX crews will work to have the repairs completed in 12 hours.
Signs and detours will be in place to reroute traffic around the closure areas.
