COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Do you enjoy bird watching?

Well the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources needs help to conduct its annual Baltimore Oriole Winter survey from February 16 through February 19.

It is in conjunction with the great backyard bird count.

The State Natural Resources Agency says it is interested in the status and distribution of these colorful songbirds that are wintering in the Palmetto State.

This year marks the ninth annual survey and officials say during the last several decades they have been wintering along the East Coast in greater abundance.

To participate, you can access the survey form and materials from this link: South Carolina Wintering Baltimore Oriole Survey (arcgis.com).
