Ford recalls nearly 2M SUVs for windshield
(CNN)– Ford is recalling nearly two-million explorer SUVs over an issue with a piece of the trim near the windshield.
The metal piece that runs up the left and right side of the front windshield may not be properly hooked allowing the trim to detach.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports it’s a potential safety hazard and increases the risk of a crash.
All Ford Explorers from 2011 to 2019 models are affected.
Federal safety regulators say letters will be sent to vehicle owners in March.
