Confirmed tornado touches down in Saluda County

 

SALUDA COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The National Weather Service of Columbia has confirmed an EF-1 tornado hit northern Saluda County on Saturday night.

A survey crew says the tornado was on the ground for about 4 minutes and traveled under a mile with wind gusts up to 100 miles per hour.

The tornado knocked down several trees in the area.

Fortunately there were no reports of any injuries.
