For the greater Myrtle Beach area, they say people are mostly choosing to move from Charlotte, Raleigh, and Atlanta, followed by New York, Philadelphia, and Boston.

The company explained that’s because we’re approaching four years of the pandemic’s onset, and the “relocation boom” we saw from remote work and preference changes is beginning to settle.

For those still moving, though, South Carolina takes the lead for population growth, at a 1.6% increase, and New York saw the largest decrease, down 1.1% in a year.

The company also listed the top metros attracting out-of-towners and almost half, four out of ten, are cities in the Carolinas.
