Palmetto Broadband Coalition launches initiative to expand broadband access

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– On Tuesday, the Palmetto Broadband Coalition officially launched their initiative to expand broadband access, advocate for pro-broadband policy and foster innovation throughout the State of South Carolina.

Due to the overwhelming investments made by the state to expand broadband members of the coalition say it is important their longtime experts and providers unite to ensure every home and business has high quality and affordable broadband.

The coalition is made up of many independent companies including Palmetto Rural Telephone Cooperative of Laurens, Truvista of Chester and West Carolina Rural Telephone Cooperative.

The coalition says the initiative will not come without challenges though, especially in rural areas.
