Super Bowl Food: Prices are down for some big-ticket game-day dish ingredients

(CNN)– It’s time to start planning the menu for your Super Bowl party.

With the right planning you may be able to make it somewhat cost effective.

According to a new Wells Fargo report, some big-ticket game day dish ingredients will cost less than a year ago, like chicken wings and shrimp.

A pound of fresh chicken wings cost 5% less than the same time a year ago.

Frozen wings cost 11% less.

Shrimp prices on average are down 6.4% from last January.

Steak and beef prices are higher.
