Tesla recalls 2 million vehicles for small warning lights

(CNN)– Tesla is recalling nearly all of its vehicles in the U.S. due to small font sizes on warning lights which could increase the risk of a crash.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the issue was discovered during a routine audit of Tesla vehicles.

Tesla says it is not aware of any crashes or injuries caused by the issue.

Nearly 2.2 million vehicles are affected by the recall.

Tesla has begun releasing an over-the-air software update to fix the issue free of charge.

The agency says owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 30.
