Gas prices are slowly rising

(CNN)– The cost of filling up is going up.

The national average for a gallon of regular is $3.15, according to AAA.

That’s a four cent hike from last month.

In South Carolina, the average price is $2.92 a gallon.

On the plus side it’s also a 35 cent drop from this time last year.

Analysts say the recent increase is likely caused by rising oil costs and a higher demand from drivers.
