Leaphart Elementary School students become published authors (James Grogan (3rd Grade)-Game Day, Gus Kakaras (3rd Grade)-Super Waffle, King Gansbrough (3rd Grade)-The Author Visit, Mary Wright (4th Grade)-Where the Wind Blows, Marc Jean (4th Grade)-Arthur and the Dragon, MaKenzie Whittleton (5th Grade)-The Quest, Devyaan Patel (5th Grade)-Journey to Space, Jaxon Wider (5th Grade)-Heartless.)

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Eight Leaphart Elementary School (LES) STEAM Magnet students have become published authors through writing program.

According to the district, Author Stan Tucker decided to take his share your story writing program to the school on October 2 through October 6.

Grades 3-5 students and teachers were walked through the writing process while students worked on their stories from October through December.

All of the finished stories were submitted to Stan Tucker’s team who picked 8 students to have their books published.
